For some reason there is a lack of medicine in Cuba. The embargo placed by the US deals mainly with American companies. Cuba is free to purchase medicine from any other country in the world to meet the needs of the people but some how that is not happening. CIRO in 1995 started delivering life saving pharmaceutical medicine to Christian Doctors in Cuba to be dispensed freely among those sick. This is a practice that is currently against the law and if caught could mean jail time for those participating in this program. One of the program's rules is that all medicine which is delivered is to be dispensed to those who believe in Christ and to those who do not. "We want the public to come to God's house for their answers instead of the government" says a Methodist pastor "and when we get them to come and ask for help we introduce them to Jesus and John 3:16". "There are many other ministers of the gospel which are bringing medicine into Cuba" says president of CIRO "but we are going to do our best to do our part as unto God". The bible teaches in Nehemiah 8:10 to "go our way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared". We get to be blessed by eating the fat and drinking the sweet but God is saying not to forget to prepare for those for whom nothing is prepared. When we complete the first half of the scripture then we get to enjoy the second half which is "for the joy of the Lord is your strength To many times have people have tried to experience the latter half without performing the heart of the scripture. Jesus told the disciples "Freely ye have received freely give". When you bless someone to help in their hour of need a supernatural joy accompanies you after the act. That's just God's joy being poured out of heaven upon you. When we here at Ciro deliver a shipment of medicine to our Christian Doctors we just seem to walk away with God's joy. When we see the lives that are touched by the relief supplies which our supporters made available that just multiplies the blessing of joy that God placed inside us. {Most of the medicine is donated by Doctors and nurses who believe in God's work. On March 8 1998 for 4 hours many churches closed down their services to attend a protest rally in downtown Bay St. area to protest the commencement of gay cruises to their Christian nation. An estimated 3,000 Bahamian citizens were rallied together by the "Save The Bahamas Campaign" headed up by Pastor Mario Moxey in order to gain the attention of the Bahamian government which has given a deaf ear to the cries of the Christian community. "The people are not going to stand for this much longer" said CIRO's president which participated in the capacity of observer and volunteered also in soliciting signatures for a petition & fund raising. "The people of Bahamas need our prayers because this battle is capable of being won if we will shut our TV's off for a few nights and pray until God says stop!". The night of the protest many pastors spoke out and an informational video was shown concerning the Gay Agenda in America. During the showing of the video many viewers gasped in horror as they watched the despicable acts of those shown in the video. "If those at the rally where offended by the video just wait until the gays start airing their militant gay lifestyle down Main St. Bahamas". The Speaker of the House in parliament came out in support of 'Save The Bahamas Campaign" after viewing the video but wished she had not 2 days later she relieved political pressure by the Prime Minister which is in favor of giving extra rights to homosexuals. The battle will be fought long and hard for the rights and beliefs of those Christian citizens living and working in Bahamas.
