Christmas for Cuba

While Fidel Castro legalized Christmas for the first time since 1969 many Cubans had the opportunity to hear about the birth of our Savior. Most of the governments employees received the day off from work and many went to church for the first time. This action on the governments part was a concession made in honor of the Popes first visit to Cuba. Many Christians have been celebrating Christmas for many years and as a result of that they have been punished indirectly and some even thrown into prison. But that didn't stop Teresa & Pedro from celebrating the birth of their Savior. They have been married for three years, but this year they were going to spend it with a new addition to their family........Teresa was with child ! The life of being without and scraping to put food on the table didn't bother Teresa so much she had Jesus and she was in love with Pedro. With new life ready to burst forth, they were prepared to raise their child to be a God fearing Christian.

One day Pedro left his wife at, now big with child, to go out and look for some things that they desperately needed. This would be the last time Teresa would see her gift from God, her husband, alive. The next morning the terrifying news arrived to Teresa that her husband was killed by thieves in the night for 15 pesos (75 cents US). What was Teresa to do now that her world had fallen in on her. With tears dripping off her face she would say "Jesus will be my husband and He shall supply all my needs according to His riches and Glory" Teresa now a single mother struggles to put food on the table for her new born baby boy who looks like his father. The church tries to help with what it can but it's resources are next to nothing. When my wife showed up on her door step with a care package from CIRO supporters she burst into tears praising and thanking God for His goodness. This is a Christmas that she will never forget. There were many other families with stories like Teresa where tragedy struck but for Christmas day, you were able to make a great difference in the lives of these widows, handicaps, and orphans. I thank every supporter for sacrificing and caring enough to bring the light of Jesus into the lives of these Christian believers!

.........(Most Cubans are so poor they can't afford a decent wedding, This is not Teresa or Pedro)

This and other mission pages are sponsored by Yeshua's Ministry for the purpose of helping other ministries receiving exposure through the World Wide Web.

We are a home for 12 beautiful handicapped children. Though the world calls them handicapped, we have found this often to be more of a tool our God has given them. These children have been able to touch hearts and administer to people in ways we never could have. Even when the LORD calls one home, they've been able to heal the hurting & speak to the unsaved in miraculous ways with the true love of our Lord Yeshua.

We are supported by the sales of GREAT CHRISTIAN SOFTWARE available at prices a missionary could afford. Please stop by.

Please stop at our other many fine web pages at:

All profits from sales of products go to Yeshua's Ministry to support its' home for handicapped children and other out-reaches.
